I purchased a Mid 2010 2.4 Ghz Mac Mini from eBay and it arrived today. It's very nice, except that there's no 'ethernet' option in the network preference pane of system preferences.
After some searching, it seems like the previous owner installed a retail copy of Snow Leopard over the original installation. Since the 'older' retail disc does not have the ethernet drivers for the Mid 2010 Mac Mini, this would explain why I do not have the ethernet option available. However, the original installation discs were NOT included in this eBay auction.
Is my only option to find the original recovery discs? Or is it possible to simply install the ethernet drivers on their own? Are they available to download from somewhere on Apple's site (unlikely) or is it legal to share them with me?
